China could force foreign automakers to share hybrid EV technology

China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has proposed a new plan that would require foreign automakers to share electric vehicle technology with Chinas domestic auto industry.

Under the terms of the plan, any foreign automaker that refused to comply with the regulations would be banned from selling vehicles in China � the worlds largest auto market.
