Amish Elders Arrested in Child Sex Abuse Case

In what reads like a possible sequel to Deliverance, elders from an Amish community in Missouri's Ozarks Mountain Country have been arrested and fined for failing to report sexual abuse that occurred within its flock.

The elders knew about the incident but claim that it's "against the Amish Rules to report child sexual abuse" and opted to shun the perpetrator instead. Yeah, shunning - that'll work.
